Gravitation

 What is law of gravitation?

The law of gravitation, formulated by Sir Isaac Newton, states that every mass attracts every other mass in the universe with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between their centers. Mathematically, it is expressed as

F = G  (m1m2) / r^2,

where F is the gravitational force, G is the gravitational constant, m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects, and r is the distance between their centers.

Define gravitation

Gravitation is the natural phenomenon by which all objects with mass are brought toward each other. It is the force of attraction between two objects due to their mass, as described by Isaac Newton's law of universal gravitation.
